2. What Is a Salt Spray Test and Why Is It Used on Faucets?

That’s why Grafdoer does salt spray testing to evaluate how well its finishes resist corrosion.

A salt spray test exposes a product to a controlled salt-containing environment for a set period. The surface is then examined for signs of corrosion and changes in the finish.

To make sure the finish is thoroughly tested, Grafdoer exposes it to salt spray for 72 hours. Because the finish shouldn’t only look impressive on installation day. It needs to withstand the environment around it and retain its appearance through regular use.

3. How Do You Test a Faucet Handle for Long-Term Durability?

The handle is one of the smallest parts of a faucet, but it has one of the most repetitive jobs.

Cycle testing is used to simulate repeated handle operation and evaluate how the mechanism performs over a large number of movements. It helps assess whether the handle can maintain its durability, reliability, and consistent operation through repeated use.
